Halloween in the Historic District

Free to participate in Trick-or-Treat. Admission to museums varies by institutionExperience Halloween magic and get into the spooky season inside America’s most historic square mile! Join the Philadelphia Historic District for a family-friendly trick-or-treat throughout the neighborhood’s museums and cultural organizations. Treat hunters can begin in Philadelphia’s National Park and stop by the Visitor Center, the location for Oktoberfest Craft Market, to pick up a map and bag for candy collection. Costumes are encouraged for this supernatural spectacular that features tons of Halloween-themed activity stations, including Mask Making, Pin the Mustache on Poe, Photo Station, and 18th Century Games. Spend the day in Old City and discover the sites, flavors, and fun that make Philly special. Stay tuned for special exhibits and programming hosted by these participating organizations: African American Museum of Philadelphia, American Philosophical Society, Athenaeum of Philadelphia, Arch Street Meeting House, Betsy Ross House, Christ Church, Elfreth’s Alley Museum, Hill-Physick House, Independence National Historical Park, Independence Seaport Museum, Ministry of Awe, National Liberty Museum, Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation & ArtStar, Powell House, Science History Institution and more! Old City businesses and restaurants will also be participating.
