Queen & Rook Is Celebrating Their 5th Year Anniversary with a Renaissance Faire Block Party, Food Specials, and Much More

The biggest gaming cafe on the east coast is celebrating its 5th year in a major way. Queen & Rook (123 South St), which just moved down the street to its latest location, features plenty of board games, full arcade, bar, and food options, will be celebrating until the end of September.

The festivities run from September 9th through September 28th and will include anniversary specials, a Renaissance Faire-inspired block party, Dine Latino Restaurant Week, a Queen & Rook Themed Quizzo Night, free and half-price game play, and more.

On Friday, September 13th, Queen & Rook is hosting a full week of food, drink, and game specials for those looking to try their menu options. Specials will include:

• Monday, September 9th – Tuesday, September 10th: Enjoy no board game fee from our 2,000+ library with a $10 purchase per person.
• Wednesday, September 11th – Thursday, September 12th: Savor $5 Fried Cauliflower and $5 Hand-cut French Fries.
• Friday, September 13th: Celebrate with $13 Wood-Fired Pizzas and special cocktail.
• Saturday, September 14th: Take advantage of half-price arcade play from 12pm to 4pm.
• Sunday, September 15th: Enjoy $5 Margaritas (limit 3 per person).

However, the foodie deals don’t stop there because Queen & Rook will also be participating in Dine Latino Restaurant Week, running September 15th through September 21st, where patrons can receive a free appetizer or dessert with purchase of two entrees.

For the festivities, mark your calendars for Saturday, September 28th for the Queen & Rook’s Fantasy Faire block party. From 1pm to 8pm Queen & Rook will be taking over the 100 Block of South Street in collaboration with the Philadelphia LARP Society (Live Action Role-Play). Get ready for a day filled with Renaissance Faire-themed fun, featuring LARP activities, amazing performances, thrilling quests, delicious draft mead and kombucha, fantastic local vendors, and so much more.
