Blues Babe Foundation Scholarship Breakfast Fundraiser

GRAMMY-winning Jill Scott’s Blues Babe Foundation (BBF) believes that the cost of tuition, books, school supplies, and other unexpected expenses should not hinder any brilliant scholar from receiving a college degree. That’s why the nonprofit organization, which is committed to supporting youth from historically under-resourced North Philadelphia and Camden neighborhoods, is inviting anyone interested in making a tangible difference in the lives of aspiring scholars to its upcoming Scholarship Breakfast fundraiser on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at PECO Energy Hall 2301 Market Street Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Three 2024 Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the event and all proceeds will benefit the BBF Scholarship Fund, further enabling the foundation to furnish vital resources and mentoring to students in need. The fund also prioritizes assistance for alumni and staff of BBF’s flagship program, Camp Jill Scott, created in 2009 to help scholars venture outside of their neighborhoods, discover their hidden talents, and learn how they can use them to create new pathways for growth.
