Farina Di Vita is Collabing With Chef Reuben For a Italian, Mexican and Asian Fusion Pop-Up
If you’re into bold flavors and unique collabs then we have the perfect pop-up for you. Jason Okdeh and Brandlyn Luis Ortiz of Farina Di Vita (250 Catharine St,) will hosting yet another talented local chef on July 31st.
Mexican/Asian fusion chef, Chef Reuben of REUBY will be setting up shop at Farina Di Vita from 5 pm until sell out. If it is anything like their recent Paffuto pop-up, then you may want to get there early.
So what can guests expect? “Guests can expect the wildest flavor combinations ever. They’ll experience layers of unique textures and flavors they’ve never been exposed to before or even heard of,” Chef Reuben states.
Menu items will include a variety of options including chicken cutlets, bone marrow brisket and chorizo. See full menu below.
So how did this unlikely connection come about? “Jae (Jason) and I talked through IG and adored each others style of food and personalities. We vibed right away like old friends. Thought it would be wild if my Mexican/Asian flavors combined with his Italian flavors. We are two chefs with the wildest imaginations and that’s why we hit it off right away. Jae is such an amazing person and chef. I have nothing but love and respect for him,” Chef Reuben adds.
Pre-registration is open and will remain open until 30 spots are filled. Pre-registration includes early entry from 4pm-5pm as well as complementary wine and limoncello.
