Learn to Fish for Free at Frankford Boat Launch, Rod and Bait Included
Ever wanted to learn how to fish? Well, Riverfront North Partnership is hosting free fishing classes on July 14th, 5:30 pm-7:30 pm and July 28th 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. Participants will learn how to fish and the best part is that rods, tackle, bait and basic instruction will be provided.
This event is first come, first served. Riverfront North has rods to loan out and worms for bait but you’re more than welcome to bring your own.
No fishing license necessary; state license requirements are waived for these events. This is a great event beginners and intermediate anglers, so it’s perfect for families, an outing with friends, or a nice cheap date.
Fishing classes will be held at the Frankford Boat Launch (5501 Tacony St.). Meet near the ramp within the park area (drive in on the access road just south of the Dietz and Watson facility. When you reach the river turn left) Guests must pre-register, participants will be capped at 25 people. Registration is available on Eventbrite.
