Beginning this February, wine lovers can explore locally-made varietals from World Class Vineyards in the heart of Philadelphia with the opening of The Tasting Room at City Winery Philadelphia. In addition to being the city’s first urban winery opening in 2019 with live music and wine-infused, culinary experiences, the popular Fashion District destination will offer approachable, interactive tastings along with growlers to-go and retail wine.
Led by City Winery’s winemaker Isaac Clark, the space allows guests the opportunity to enjoy a true tasting room while sipping, snacking, and discussing the art of winemaking with skilled experts – just steps away from where the wine is made.
“The Tasting Room at City Winery gives Philadelphia a space to expand your palate with our winemaker through approachable, interactive tastings for all levels,” said City Winery Founder and CEO, Michael Dorf.

The intimate environment encourages patrons to connect with City Winery’s experts in addition to offering selections on tap wines (available to purchase to go with refillable growlers) along with delectable pairing bites including artisanal cheeses, burrata, hummus, marinated olives, and flatbreads (using dough made with lees from City Winery wines) that can be enjoyed in the restaurant or music venues after your wine tasting.
The grand opening of The Tasting Room at City Winery Philadelphia is Friday, February 4th, 2022.
The Tasting Room’s hours of operation are:
Thursday and Friday from
4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to
6:00 p.m.
