The 1st Annual South Philly Suasagefest

This September 12th the Newbold Community Development Corporation (CDC) will launch the inaugural South Philly SausageFest, a local food and craft beer festival. Sponsored by AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care, the Fest will raise funds for the Newbold CDC’s Street Cleaning Program! Upon arrival, you can check in at either 15th Street or South Broad Street. In the case of rain, South Philly Sausage Fest will be rescheduled for Saturday, October 10.

Don’t miss Crash Course on Craft Beer. In this class, we sample the extraordinary beers that highlight the differences between East Coast and West Coast brewing styles… and everything in between. This class features the finest craft brews made in America.

Clean Air Council’s 10th Annual Greenfest Philly returns to Headhouse Square (2nd and South Streets) on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. The tri-state region’s largest environmental festival is bigger than ever with live music, free demos, an outdoor beer gardehttps://wooderice.com//wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=tribe_eventsn, organic food and drinks, handmade and green shopping, MOM’s Organic Market Kids’ Corner, a twenty-five foot rock wall, and even edible bugs. Admission is free.

Take a stroll along historic Main Street with your family and friends and taste everything from savory BBQ to sweet desserts from over 50 of Philadelphia’s best food trucks and vendors! Participating vendors will be highlighting dishes with the fall ingredient – apples! Take a break from eating with festival shopping at local businesses that will be joining the trucks and vendors on the street. From sidewalk sales to promotions, see all that our Manayunk merchants have to offer.

Science on Tap is a monthly science café in Philadelphia for anyone who is interested in getting together with other people to discuss a range of engaging science topics. It’s held at National Mechanics, a relaxed, convivial bar in Old City, and features a brief, informal presentation by a scientist or other expert followed by lively conversation.

Mt. Airy’s fabulous annual foodie festival, Mt. Airy Street Fare returns to Germantown Avenue on Thursday, September 17! From 6:00-10:30, SIP delicious beverages, SAVOR amazing food from the City’s best gourmet food vendors and local restaurants, and STROLL along historic Germantown Avenue. The festival takes place between Sedgwick Street and Mt. Airy Avenue.
Imbibe! The Whiskey & Cocktail Class
Sept. 18th | 7:30 – 9:30 pm | The Wine School of Philadelphia
One of the greatest whiskey authors of our generation, Michael Jackson, often visited 127 22nd Street. That was back before the Wine School, when our building was still occupied by his publisher, Running Press. This class is one of the ways we celebrate his legacy.
