Need Holiday Plans? Holidays on the Hill Brings Six Weeks of Family Fun and Holiday Magic to Chestnut Hill
Holiday magic is returning to Chestnut Hill. The neighborhood’s annual Holidays on the Hill celebration begins November 18 and runs through December 31, bringing six weeks of festive shopping, seasonal attractions and cherished holiday traditions to Germantown Avenue.
The celebration offers something for everyone, from decorated storefronts and Victorian-style carolers strolling Germantown Avenue to visits with Santa and one-of-a-kind gifts at locally owned shops and boutiques.
Stag & Doe
At the heart of the festivities is Stag & Doe, a holiday shopping tradition dating back more than 50 years, when the event first offered Center City workers a chance to shop after hours. Today, the tradition continues each Wednesday evening in December, with extended shopping hours, entertainment and seasonal treats. This year’s Stag & Doe nights are December 2, 9, 16 and 23.
