BYO Blankets & Snacks as Reel Nomadic’s Halloween Fest Returns to Penn Treaty Park With Screenings of ‘Ghostbusters,’ ‘The Lost Boys,’ and More
Reel Nomadic‘s Penn Treaty Pictures will bring two nights of outdoor Halloween movie screenings to Penn Treaty Park, located at 1301 N. Beach Street, on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10, 2026. Now in its second year, the Halloween Fest pairs classic horror and comedy films with live entertainment under the open sky, with help from Cinema Diabolique and VHS Club.
The festival also serves as the season-closing event for Penn Treaty Pictures’ outdoor screening series. Organizers advise guests to dress warm and bring blankets, since both nights unfold outdoors after sundown.
Friday, October 9
The first night begins at 6 p.m., with a DJ and tarot readings setting the mood until sundown. When darkness falls, the first film will begin, followed by a 15-minute intermission and a second feature. The double bill includes “Young Frankenstein” and “The Lost Boys,” pairing Mel Brooks’s monster-movie spoof with the cult vampire favorite.
Saturday, October 10
The festival closes on Saturday with an earlier 3 p.m. start. Before the first film begins at sundown, guests can enjoy a DJ, tarot readings and Halloween costume contests for both humans and dogs, a nod to the family-friendly spirit of the day.
The evening’s lineup is “Ghostbusters,” selected for kids and families, followed by John Carpenter’s “They Live” as the second feature.
