Bathhouse, a New York City-based social wellness brand, will open its first Philadelphia location at 200 S. Broad Street on September 25. The new facility will be located within The Bellevue, a historic Center City building, and marks Bathhouse’s first expansion outside New York City.

Spanning roughly 36,000 square feet across multiple floors, the new location will occupy a multi-level space that includes the building’s former Tiffany & Co. storefront. The facility is designed as an immersive wellness environment centered on contrast therapy and ritual-based programming.

Jason Goodman, Co-Founder of Bathhouse, said expanding to Philadelphia presented a significant opportunity for the brand. He said The Bellevue was chosen for its central location within the city’s cultural and commercial core, as well as its architecture, noting that the building blends its 1904 heritage with contemporary design. Goodman said the goal is to create an urban space where visitors can step away from daily life.

Most of the Philadelphia location’s offerings will be housed in a brick-walled basement level, which will include three indoor pools and three thermal rooms, an infrared sauna, a dry sauna, a banya and a steam room. In early 2027, the location plans to add a third-floor outdoor terrace, featuring an outdoor pool, a fourth sauna, lounge space and a concessions area.

Firas Ghorab, General Manager at The Bellevue, said the addition of Bathhouse represents a new chapter for wellness offerings at the property. He said Bathhouse’s expertise in sauna and recovery complements the building’s existing amenities at The Sporting Club, supporting The Bellevue’s positioning as a luxury lifestyle destination for both hotel guests and the broader Philadelphia community.

Bathhouse opened its first location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 2019 and has since become an established name in the wellness industry. The Philadelphia location reflects the brand’s continued national expansion and its approach to building wellness spaces rooted in the communities they serve. Bathhouse Philadelphia will follow the brand’s established programming, centered on contrast therapy and bodywork.
