8 Seconds Rodeo

8 Seconds Rodeo returns to Temple University’s Liacouras Center on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Join us beginning at 3:00 PM for The Get Down, our signature pre-show celebration, before the rodeo kicks off at 7:00 PM.

The Get Down transforms the arena into a celebration of Black Western culture with line dancing, roping lessons, a mechanical bull, local retail vendors, family-friendly activities, photo opportunities, and more. Then, as the lights go down, experience an unforgettable night of rodeo featuring elite Black cowboys and cowgirls competing in bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, and the fan-favorite mutton bustin’. DJ Diamond Kuts keeps the energy high throughout the evening as music, sport, and culture come together in a one-of-a-kind live experience.

More than a rodeo, 8 Seconds Rodeo is a celebration of Black Western heritage, bringing together community, culture, and world-class competition for one of Philadelphia’s most unforgettable events.
