HARVEST SEASONAL GRILL & WINE BAR GLEN MILLS HOSTS EMMA’S SUMMER PLANT SALE BENEFITING THE BRANDYWINE VALLEY SPCA ON JULY 30

An inspiring young volunteer and gardener brings her passion for plants and rescue dogs together
for a special community fundraiser
GLEN MILLS, PA — Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, 549 Wilmington Pike, Glen Mills, will host a special summer plant sale on Thursday, July 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., featuring organically grown flowers, vegetables, and bouquets cultivated by longtime Brandywine Valley SPCA volunteer Emma Bryan. The proceeds from the event will benefit Brandywine Valley SPCA, and support its lifesaving mission for animals in need.
Emma’s journey with the BVSPCA began in 2018, shortly after recovering from the resection of a brain tumor. Volunteering with dogs became a meaningful part of her healing process, helping her rebuild strength both physically and emotionally. With a naturally calm and compassionate presence, Emma quickly developed a strong connection with even the most challenging rescue dogs.
That same spring, after discovering she had extra seedlings from her family garden, Emma decided to hold a small plant sale to raise money for the BVSPCA. What started as a modest fundraiser has since blossomed into a remarkable annual tradition.
Now celebrating her 9th Annual Plant Sale, Emma has grown the event into a thriving seasonal endeavor featuring more than 4,000 flowers and vegetable plants across nearly 200 varieties. Every plant is started from seed at her home, watered with 100% rainwater, and grown organically. Emma has also expanded her passion-driven business to include fresh-cut flower bouquets from her backyard micro-flower farm throughout the summer.
In addition to growing plants, Emma continues to dedicate her time to animal rescue efforts as an orange-level dog volunteer with more than 700 volunteer hours at the BVSPCA.
“We are thrilled to host this fundraiser,” Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar owner Dave Magrogan said, “Emma’s dedication is extraordinary, her resilience, compassion, and commitment to helping animals and to growing organic plants and flowers is remarkable and aligns perfectly with the ethos of Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar which includes sourcing locally and seasonally and being a good neighbor partner in the community.”
Since launching the fundraiser, Emma has donated 100% of the proceeds from the first three weekends of her annual plant sale to the BVSPCA and continues to donate 10% of all ongoing plant and cut-flower sales. She is now quickly approaching her personal milestone of $20,000 in lifetime donations to the organization.
Guests attending the July 30 event at Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar can shop a curated selection of organically grown plants and flowers while supporting a meaningful local cause.
