Healing Verse Germantown: The Streets Are Talking

Join us for a special launch celebration for Healing Verse Germantown: The Streets Are Talking, a poetry and public art project supported by Creative Philadelphia and a winner of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge. This public art exhibition is neighborhood-wide and features 19 site-specific installations created from poems by Germantown residents impacted by gun violence. Developed in community poetry workshops, the poems have been transformed into a variety of dynamic visual artwork including collage posters, video installations, augmented reality constellations, interactive floral offerings, and stained-glass panels on a SEPTA bus shelter.
