20 of the Area’s Best Global Cuisines Will be On Display at the Upcoming Global Tastes 2023
Attention foodies, one of the best food events of the year is taking place April 27th from 7 pm -10 pm at the Quorum at the University City Science Center (3675 Market St.) Global Tastes 2023 will feature culinary bites from around the globe featuring some of your favorite Philadelphia restaurants.
Philly has a diverse food scene and Global Tastes looks to put it on display. Organized by the Nationalities Service Center, Global Tastes both celebrates Philly’s immigrant communities as well as supports them with proceeds from the event going towards services for refugees and immigrants.
The event itself will be MC’d by WHYY’s Maiken Scott and feature and eclectic gathering of 20 of the area’s best restaurants as well as music and festivities. Guests can expect performances by M’oudswing, Philadelphia Suns Lion Dancers, Ballet Folklórico Yaretzi, and The Voloshky School Ukrainian Dance.

As part of the event, Global Tastes will also be honoring Thi Phan Esq. who is the Senior Advisor and Executive Consultant at Cigna, for her contributions to the health services field and advocating for culturally appropriate services for immigrants. In addition, Regional Vice President of Community Impact at Comcast, Robert F. Smith will also be honored for his work championing digital literacy, inclusion, and equity.
