20 Local Artists From Various Mediums Will Gather for a Special Art Exhibition 52 Floors Up at The Pyramid Club

For all the art lovers out there, here’s a unique experience happening this month at the Pyramid Club.  On March 31st 20 local artists from various mediums will gather at the Pyramid Club for a special art exhibition 52 floors up.

Art lovers will get to enjoy sweeping views along with amazing art pieces created by artists that will be on-site to answer questions and provide insight into their pieces. Perfect for a date night or an evening out with friends, this art exhibit is will offer a chance to meet and greet with some of Philly’s most talented artists. Tickets are $45 for the public and can be purchased at PyramidArtExhibition.eventbrite.com, while members can purchase tickets on the MembersFirst App. As part of the experience, guests will also get to enjoy one complimentary drink with the price of admission along with appetizers and live music from Mare and Spaz.

Award winning artist Jonathan D. Pinkett is one of the featured artists who hails from South Philly and is widely known for his portraits using oils, charcoal, and watercolors. “A portrait can provide a communal understanding of a people, it is a form of authenticity that offers perspectives on the true identity. My work is an effort to deconstruct the diverse world around me. I use a variety of materials and processes in each project that relate to specific themes or personalities. Because I absorb and redirect the energy of my subjects the portraits that I create are, in essence, self portraits. My mission is to make the invisible visible through portraiture. I seek to immerse myself in the conditions around me, not to escape them. My influences are Charles White, Roberto Lugo, Jacob Collins, Jordan Sokol Kurt Schwitters and Alexander Rodchenko. My works are in Public, Private and Corporate collections worldwide.” Jonathan states.

“The opportunity to partner with Pyramid Club came at just the right time. Lemuria Gallery has been working personally with artists to assist in establishing their artwork for over 35 years. We as artists ourselves, understand the complicated road to achieve the direct connection between artists and clients. Members of the public  that are interested in the arts, want a connection and conversation directly with the artists that resonate with them creatively. Well, this venue provides that connection,” adds Pat Pinkett, docent of the Barnes Foundation
