One thing you don’t want to do this New Year’s Eve is go out drinking on an empty stomach.  We don’t have to go into details why, we’re sure you’ve been in enough drunk Snapchats and IG stories to understand the importance of busting a grub before hitting an open bar.  So for those looking for hardy meal options, we came across a few local eateries that are going all out this New Year’s Eve.  From upscale dining to fast casual spots and everything in-between we got it covered.  Check it out and start making your reservations today!

Center City gem Fine Palate is offering up an amazing 4 course meal this New Year’s Eve.  Starting off with complimentary champagne, guests will enjoy the first course of artichoke soup with black truffles.  The second course will consist of  3  options including caviar or a  seared foie gras.  The third course will be an option of either tagliagelle pasta san  marzano or white or black truffle risotto. The forth and final course will consist of either buffalo filet mignon or live king crab! And what 4 course meal would be complete without a desert? You’ll have your pick from an assortment of tasty treats!

We know what you’re thinking… FONDUE? Aren’t you a German restaurant?? However, in Germany it’s very popular to undertake shared activities with friends and family on New Year’s Eve. Including a special meal $115 ticket including tax and gratuity also includes a 3 Course Family Style Fondue Dinner of Käsefondue – Emmenthaler & Gruyere cheese with sour dough bread, pretzel bites, smoked sausage bites, broccoli, baby carrots and cauliflower. Rinderbrühe – Red wine fresh herbs and roasted garlic beef broth with filet tips, chicken breast, shrimp, fingerling potatoes and roasted mushrooms. Dipping sauces – herbed pesto, horseradish sour cream, remoulade and garlic-maggi. Schokoladenfondue – Dark chocolate with strawberries, pretzel bites, lebkuchen cookies and pound cake.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Marokko! It’s a masquerade party and authentic Moroccan culinary experience all in one. Enjoy the traditional belly dancing and wear your best costume! Come dressed in your best mask or costume and win prizes like a dinner for two to Marokko or a restaurant gift certificate.

Treat yourself to an exotic meal, all handcrafted by Chef Saida using fresh, organic and Halal ingredients. Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options are always available. Marokko is BYOB- bring your best bottle of wine and celebrate!

Nick’s Bar & Grille

Nick’s Bar and Grille is one of the top family spots to celebrate a casual New Year’s Eve with the whole family and your friends. Bring the kids after the countdown at Franklin Square in Historic Philly or come before the main fireworks on the waterfront. The full menu and some specials will be served. This is the perfect spot for a casual, warm and fun New Year’s Eve without the reservations and without the fuss.

 

The Little Lion

The Little Lion breaks out the bubbly for the final toast of the year with a prix fixe champagne cocktail dinner that includes speciality champagne cocktails paired with four courses from the kitchen. First course pairs a Lemon Fizz with Lobster Consume. Second course includes a Ginger Blueberry Hibiscus with choice of Tri Color Beet Salad, Potato Fondue, Roasted Tomato Soup or Kale Caesar Salad. Third course includes a Elderflower Collins with choice of Grilled Ribeye, Whole Bronzino, Sweet Potato Gnocchi or Pork Tenderloin. End the night with a Blood Orange Crush and choice of preserved lemon cheesecake, chocolate mud jar or espresso creme brulee (made with beans from local roaster Peddler Coffee). The Little Lion’s regular menu will also be available during New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve is $75 per person.

Hours — The Little Lion will open at 10:00am for weekend brunch and bar service from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Dinner and evening bar service will begin at 5:00pm.

Last call for Philadelphia’s Christmas Pop-up Bar! Tinsel celebrates its final night with one last dose of Christmas cheer and speciality drinks, seasonal beers on tap and one final appearance from the Krampus.
