The classes appear sparingly and are almost immediately sold out so you’ll have to jump on them early but what do you expect from arguably Philly’s hottest restaurant.  Classes here include Culinary Techniques, Mastering Pasta, and Gnocchi Class.

 

La Cucina

If you’ve ever walked by The Reading Terminal and seen a cool kitchen in place of a store front then you’ve seen La Cucina (The Kitchen).  This is what everyone would picture in their head for an ideal cooking class.  Large spacious modern kitchen with high-end finishes and a large dinner table to grub once you’re finished.  Perfect for dates or just group outings.

 

The Wine School of Philadelphia

We are always digging the classes here at The Wine School from Beer Making to Wine Pairing and more.  However, their cooking classes are great as they pair foods with some of your favorite spirits.  This is another one that fills up quickly so make sure to register early. This is definitely a great date spot as well.

Here at cook you get to learn from some of the hottest best chefs from Philly’s most popular restaurants.  Head chefs and authors of cookbooks rotate as instructors from the evening.  Learn to cook some of their signature dishes and personal favorites in a cool laid back atmosphere.  Great for groups and dates.

Traveling Chef/Various Locations

This class is cool because you can either choose to attend a cooking class at a designated location or choose a traveling chef that will come to you.  This is great for group events and the choice of the type of entrees to cook is pretty eclectic.

 

Let’s Cultivate Food

It’s almost like having a personal chef/teacher.  Let’s Cultivate Food brings the class to you.   You can have lessons in your own kitchen and they’ll bring the ingredients (tell you where they shop), provide aprons and do the dishes! Sounds like a win-win to us.

Are you vegan or thinking of becoming one?  Learn to cook yummy vegan grub at this vegan restaurant.  Classes here go super fast and sell out quick so if you see an open spot, better jump on it fast.  Great for friends and couples looking for healthy cooking lessons.

 

Fante’s Kitchen Shop

If you’re serious about cooking than chances are you’ve been to Fante’s for supplies.  However, aside from their kitchen goods, Fante’s also provides cooking classes and demonstrations.  The classes run sparingly so you have to keep an eye out for them, but it’s a cool little spot to learn a thing or two about cooking.

 

Madame Saito

Madame Saito has been crowned the Sushi Queen of Philadelphia and she hosts classes to teach or secrets of the perfect roll.  This is the perfect change of pace from a traditional sushi class and these skill can go a long way to impress friends and future party guests.
