Wait What? A Man Carries His Heart Around Outside of His Body

Yes, when we came across this story we had to re-read it several times for it to register.  Apparently this 24 year-old man is waiting for a heart transplant and in the meantime doctors hooked him up to an artificial heart that he carries around in a briefcase like box.  The artificial heart is used to bridge him to surgery in hopes his body would be more receptive when he eventually does get a transplant.  Check it out!
