Venezuelan Restaurant Puyero is Bringing Latin Flare to Queen Village

For those that love to indulge in Latin cuisine, there will be a nice present come Christmas time.  This December an all new Venezuelan restaurant is coming to Queen Village at 524 S. Fourth St.  Puyero which translates to “have a good time,” is setting up shop right next door to the popular Mexican spot Don Quixote Tapas & Things

Puyeropuyero2 will be a family operated restaurant, headed by brothers Gil and Simon Arends as well as Gil’s wife Manuela.  If you’re not familiar with Venezuelan platters or street food this will be an awesome introduction to an otherwise rarely found Latin cuisine. Guests will be able to try items such as aprepas, patacónes (fried and pressed green plantain sandwiches) pan con queso as well as several other popular Venezuelan treats.

There is no exact date for the opening but the Arends are shooting for an early December opening.  Stay tuned for our official review once it’s open!
