The Sixers have made some big moves (literally) in the past couple of years with the signing of Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid. With a a bright future ahead of them, the organization decided to add a cool new toy to their arsenal.
No we aren’t talking about another player, we are talking about a 3D court. Yes, you read that correctly. The 76ers 3D court will be unveiled during the home opener this Saturday against Miami.
The technology comes from tech company Quince Imaging, who were responsible for the same technology that was used during the Heat’s ring ceremony last year. The cool effects are projected onto the court virtually turning the hard wood into the silver screen.
Expect to see the cool 3D effects during pre-game team intros and some half-time shows.
