Philly Artist Oneluv Mahugu Says Philly Artist Sound The Same and He Can Prove He’s Different

When it comes to hip hop, more specifically Philly hip hop it’s safe to safe that we have a distinct sound.  For the most part when an artist starts spitting, folks can generally discern that the artist is from Philly (if it is the case).   Former videographer turned artist Oneluv Mahugu has seen first hand the rise and fall of many prominent Philly artist.

Working with the likes of State Property and other well known artists in the early 2000’s he witnessed the growth of the “Philly sound.”  However, now that he is on the other side of the lens, Oneluv is looking to separate himself from the pack.  Tapping into his African roots, Oneluv’s sound may have some Philly influence but it’s a distinctive style all on its own.
