On Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m., Old City’s landmark Fork restaurant and Executive Chef John Patterson will welcome long-time friend and acclaimed chocolatier Chris Curtin of Éclat for a collaboration dinner. For this special meal, Chef Patterson will work closely with Curtin to take diners through the stages of the cacao plant, from leaf to pod to harvest – and of course, to a decadent chocolate dessert. The seven-course meal is $85 per person, with an optional wine pairing also available, and is expected to sell out quickly. Reservations are required.

The meal will include seven courses, each devoted to a moment in the life of the cacao plant:

  • “Harvest,” a smoky ceviche with fermented cocoa pulp and grilled corn husk
  • “Pod,” a Penang curry beef dish
  • “Leaf,” dry-aged duck breast with Mexican spices, served atop cocoa leaf
  • An assortment of Curtin’s revered specialty chocolates for dessert
