2019 is not even a month old and we are already getting hit with rate increases. The global subscription service Netflix just announced that they will be once again increasing their monthly subscription rates.
What started off back in the day as a $5 per month fee has now grow into a soon to be $13/per month. Netflix’s most popular plan will see the largest hike, to $13 per month from $11.That option offers high-definition streaming on up to two different internet-connected devices simultaneously.The price for the cheapest plan is going up to $9 per month. A premium plan offering ultra-high definition will jump to $16 per month from $14.
With over 58 million subscribers in the U.S alone, Netflix is looking to increase their revenue to help fund more original movies and shows. With the quality of programming Netflix has been putting out, you can’t be too mad.
Even with the increase Netflix is still the cheapest option (besides those free movie sites). Their movies have been solid and the shows have been on par if not better than most premium channels on cable.
