Chinese Man Pawns His Sneaker Collection for $160K to Buy an Apartment

Sneaker heads, former sneaker heads, and hypebeasts, this story will definitely hit home.  Looks like a Chinese man was strapped for a little cash and decided to pawn his entire sneaker collection he’s been building for over 20 years.  His payout?  How about a cool $160K (1 million yuan).

Only looking to be referred to as Mick, this 30 year-old man from Beijing was looking to upgrade his digs and figured pawning his sneaker collection would get him the bachelor pad he deserved.  While most of us have pretty decent pairs of J’s and maybe a few other gems tucked away in our closets, Mick apparently had some really rare kicks.

However, all is not lost.  Apparently Mick is looking to save up enough money in two months in order to buy back his entire collection.  Man this guy is obviously paid.  Check out some pics of Mick and his massive pay-out below!
