Happy birthday to us! Bank & Bourbon, located at 1200 Market in the historic PSFS building is celebrating one year with a Bourbon Bash Party to benefit Donors Choose.org.
Executive Chef Thomas Harkins will present the best of Bank & Bourbon, the most popular dishes from starters to entrees and desserts. Bourbon Master Brian Bevilacqua will present signature cocktail and other libations for the event.
“We are thrilled that Philadelphia and the region have embraced Bank & Bourbon and we want to give some of that love back via Donors Choose.org. We believe in helping our neighbors and nothing is more important than education,” said Assistant Food & Beverage Director Alex Amato.
DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. School teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on the site, and when a project reaches its funding goal, Donors Choose.org ships the materials to the school. Regional teachers from public, private parochial and charter schools can post their request on Donors Choose and Bank & Bourbon will fund as many as possible with the monies raised from the Bourbon Bash.
The Bourbon Bash will take place at Bank & Bourbon on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 6–9PM. Tickets are required and Bank & Bourbon will offer a limited number of tickets at $49 per person with proceeds benefitting Donors Choose. There are also three levels of sponsorship for the event. The platinum donation of $2500 includes six tickets to Bourbon Bash, a chef’s table dinner for 10 (at a later date) and two overnight stays. Gold sponsorship at $1000 includes four tickets to event and two overnight stays at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. In addition to raising money for Donors Choose at Bourbon Bash, Bank & Bourbon will donate the proceeds from three signature items on their menu throughout the month of April.
Bank & Bourbon opened April 9, 2014 offering a unique barrel aging program for Bourbon, Whiskey and Rye spirits, under the direction of a Bourbon Master and a menu based on traditional American fare with a modern twist.
