In the beginner class, Damian and Sarah teach general technique for walking, pivots and turns, the building blocks of Argentine Tango. Students learn simple sequences that are common in social dancing, including the basic step, ocho cortado, parada, ochos and a turn. Students also begin learning how to establish a connection with the partner, and how to hear the pulse of tango music.
