Because there are over 20 colleges in and around the city, great minds are bred in Philadelphia. Philly’s entrepreneurial spirit is garnering national attention with a stop on the Rise of the Rest Tour. The Rise of the Rest Tour stops in cities nationwide to celebrate entrepreneurship by investing in promising startups. This Tuesday, the eight semi-finalists will be competing for a 100k investment from angel investor and AOL Founder Steve Case. The event is being held in the National Constitution Center this Tuesday, September 29 and here are three reason YOU should attend.

After being narrowed down from over 130 companies to eight, competition is fierce and the eight companies pitching are awesome. Here is the lineup:
