BBQ Smackdown: Wine Versus Beer!

It’s a beer and wine pairing competition and your palate is the judge.  With four courses of hickory-smoked deliciousness you taste all the pairings and cast your vote.  In this friendly competition, one of the city’s top sommeliers is pitted against a master brewer  to determine –once and for all– which is better with barbecue: wine or beer?

 

Reed, White, & Blue Festivus

Celebrate all things red, white, and blue with the return of food trucks and Franklin Square’s outdoor beer garden presented by Frankford Hall at the Red, White, & Blue Festivus! Admission is free. Tickets required for Philly Mini Golf and the Parx Liberty Carousel. Food and beverage available for purchase from participating vendors.

 

Mega-Bad Movie Night: Deep Blue Sea

In this science fiction horror film, scientists face off with a group of genetically engineered, super smart, and mega-terrifying sharks, and things get ugly real fast. Witty experts will be onstage to offer their quips and sidesplitting comments on the many scientific absurdities—think Mystery Science Theater 3000!

 

The Fellowship of the Ring with The Philadelphia Orchestra

Smith, Music Director) Witness The Fellowship of the Ring from The Lord of the Rings, the first film of the beloved trilogy, on a giant screen with The Philadelphia Orchestra. Don’t miss this epic score composed and orchestrated by Academy Award-winner Howard Shore performed live by one of the world’s greatest orchestras and two full choirs.
